A Fresh Start at Colony Surf: Studio Apartment Repainting in Diamond Head

A complete interior refresh, from stubborn adhesive marks to freshly painted walls, closets, and trim.

Sometimes, the biggest transformation starts long before the first coat of paint.

At Colony Surf, near Diamond Head in Honolulu, this spacious studio apartment needed more than a simple color refresh. Adhesive mounting strips had been left across numerous surfaces, leaving behind stubborn residue and areas of damaged paint. Before repainting could begin, the strips had to be carefully scraped away and the affected walls repaired to create a smoother surface.

Once the preparation was complete, we gave the studio a full interior repaint. The project included walls, closets, shelving, and window trim—taking care of the smaller details that make an entire space feel refreshed.

Rather than introducing a new color, we matched the original interior paint to preserve the apartment's existing look while restoring a cleaner, more consistent finish. Each surface was assessed individually, with one or two coats applied depending on its condition and coverage needs.

Using approximately five gallons of paint, we brought a fresh, uniform appearance back to this Diamond Head studio.

The result? The same familiar space, without the worn surfaces, adhesive marks, and tired paint.

A little preparation. A lot of attention to detail. Ta-da!
