Your window light changes the color.
A paint chip in a store does not show how a wall will feel at home. Test a sample in the actual room and check it at different times of day. Strong daylight, shade, and evening lamps can make the same color appear different.
Work with what isn’t changing.
Place samples beside flooring, counters, tile, furniture, and window treatments. Whites have undertones, too; compare them against fixed finishes rather than choosing in isolation. Keep a small set of options so the decision doesn’t become seventeen samples and an existential crisis.
Think about the whole room.
Consider connected spaces, ceilings, doors, and trim as part of the palette. Screens and photographs are useful inspiration, not an accurate substitute for a physical sample. Discuss lighting and finish choices when planning your interior repaint.
General planning guidance, not a fixed quote or building approval. Always check your building rules and the selected coating’s product instructions.
